Connection Menu

The Connection popup menu contains the following commands:

Hide hides the selected Connection so that it does not appear on the chart. It remains in the textual representation, even after the chart is written to the project library using Save. If you use the Create Chart command all hidden components (except Parameters) will reappear. To unhide Parameters use Unhide Parameters from the Connection menu or Show Parameters from the Edit menu.

Insert Point enables you to modify a Connection by inserting an intermediate point. This command automatically executes the Show Points command. After choosing Insert Point, the new point is displayed at the pointer position on the Connection, and all other points are also displayed. A Connection can have a maximum of 30 points.

Show Points switches on the display of the points in the selected Connection. The points can then be moved or deleted.

Hide Points switches off the display of the points in the selected Connection.

Add Parameter

In.  Enter the name of the parameter and then click on OK. A small arrow appears next to the Connection. Input parameters are shown pointing towards the called Function. Note that these parameters represent the actual parameters which are used when the Function is called. ProMod-PLUS adds the parameter to the textual representation of the call when you save the chart to the project library.

Out.  Enter the name of the parameter and then click on OK. A small arrow appears next to the Connection. Output parameters point away from the called Function. Note that these parameters represent the actual parameters which are used when the Function is called. ProMod-PLUS adds the parameter to the textual representation of the call when you save the chart to the project library.

In/Out. Enter the name of the parameter and then click on OK. A small double-headed arrow appears next to the Connection. Note that these parameters represent the actual parameters which are used when the Function is called. ProMod-PLUS adds the parameter to the textual representation of the call when you save the chart to the project library.

Show Parameter generates the parameters for a Connection on the basis of the version of the chart currently in the editor window in combination with the textual representations.

Hide Parameters enables you to "hide" all the Parameters belonging to the Connections (function calls) shown in the chart. A similar command on the Connection pop-up menu enables you to hide the Parameters for the chosen Connection.

Unhide Parameters enables you to "unhide" parameters on the selected Connection in a Function Chart. Any parameters on the relevant Connection which were hidden during the current editing session are shown again on the chart. If there are several calls to the same Function then only the parameters for the first call are shown.

Delete deletes the Connection from the chart. In a Function Chart, any parameters are deleted with the Connection. When the chart is written to the project library using Save or Exit, the Connection and its parameters are deleted from the textual representation.
