By selecting from the popup menu you can determine whether the Traceability Links are shown from the point of view of the Requirements or the Modular Design. If you select "Selected Requirements" or "All Requirements" then the Traceability Links are from the Requirements point of view. Conversely, if you select "Selected Modular Design" or "All Modular Design" then the Traceability Links are from the Modular Design point of view.
Select a Traceability Link from the displayed list by clicking on it. You can work on the selected Traceability Link by means of a popup menu.
Selected Requirements. All existing Traceability Links for the selected Requirements object(s) are displayed. The list box remains empty until you select a Requirements object. If you select a different Requirements object or objects the list is updated.
All Requirements. All existing Traceability Links for the listed Requirements objects are displayed. If you select a different Requirements object type and then click on Apply the list is updated.
Selected Modular Design. All existing Traceability Links for the selected Modular Design object(s) are displayed. The list box remains empty until you select a Modular Design object. If you select a different Modular Design object or objects the list is updated.
All Modular Design. All existing Traceability Links for the listed Modular Design objects are displayed. If you select a different Modular Design object type and then click on Apply the list is updated.
Add Link is only available if you have selected both a Requirements object and a Modular Design object. You can only select a Requirements and a Modular Design object between which a Link is possible. When you click on Add Link the Autotracer creates a user-defined Traceability Link between the selected objects. The new link appears in the list of Traceability Links.
By defining your own Traceability Links you can customize the transformation from Requirements to Modular Design by specifying the target objects.
Requirements
Choose the object type from the popup menu. If the Traceability Links are shown from the Modular Design point of view then the popup menu will only contain those object types that are valid for the selected Modular Design object type. For example if you select Subsystems then only Flow Diagrams, Mini Specs and data entries are available. Use the name filter to choose which Requirements objects of this type should appear in the list. The list is generated as soon as you click on the Apply button. Select an object from the displayed list by clicking on it. You can work on the selected object by means of a popup menu.
Modular Design
Choose the object type from the popup menu. If the Traceability Links are shown from the Requirements point of view then the popup menu will only contain those object types that are valid for the selected Requirements object type. For example if you select Nodes then only Functions are available. Use the name filter to choose which Modular Design objects of this type should appear in the list. The list is generated as soon as you click on the Apply button. Select an object from the displayed list by clicking on it. You can work on the selected object by means of a popup menu.
