perfmeter and rpc.rstatd for Linux (1.1 and newer)
--------------------------------------------------

Just one word of warning...

When you start rpc.rstatd at system start-up, unlike many daemons,
it NEEDS to be put in the background with a trailing '&' or you will
hang the system!

So...somewhere in /etc/rc.d/... put the line:

rpc.rstatd &

(or however you want to start it), and you'll have no problems.
