mountd(1M) Maintenance Commands mountd(1M) NAME mountd - NFS mount request server SYNOPSIS mountd DESCRIPTION mountd is an RPC server that answers file system mount requests. It reads the file /etc/dfs/sharetab (described in sharetab(4)), to determine which file systems are available for mounting by which machines. It also provides informa- tion as to what file systems are mounted by which clients. This information can be printed using the dfmounts(1M) com- mand. The mountd daemon is automatically invoked in run level 3. Only super-user can run the mountd daemon. FILES /etc/dfs/sharetab SEE ALSO dfmounts(1M), sharetab(4) SunOS 5.4 Last change: 5 Jul 1990
