PQ - A simple WinSock printer queue viewer. version 0.02 1/9/94 - Fixed some minor problems that should make it more stable. This program is free. Which also means if it doesn't work, you don't get your money back. Disclaimer ---------- It works for me, most of the time. It may never work for you. It may start to work and then stop. If this or any other problem occurs, including but not limited to, system crashes, infestations of ants, mosquitos, flys or elephants, floods, fires or earthquakes, it's your own fault for running the program in the first place. This program comes with absolutely no warrantee. If it works, I'd love to know about it, and also if you have problems, or suggestions for improvements. Command line ------------ pq ip.address.goes.here printer eg : pq 199.99.87.98 ps pq will display what is on the queue in the standard lpq fashion, and will continue to do this each 20 seconds or so. Eventually, it may fall over with some sort of bind error. I don't know why this happens - I don't know much about Windows Sockets. If you do, or you know of some information about programming Windows sockets, tricks, traps, pitfalls etc, I'd greatly appreciate it. Ian Harris iharris@styx.cbr.dwr.csiro.au
