Subject: [*] Appearance Designer
Appearance Designer
Appearance Designer creates your own appearance and add it to your
appearance control panel. You can change the color of a menu selection,
growing bar and slide box. I hope you make your mac more exciting.
System Requirement
Appearance Designer needs Appearance Control Panel. If you are currently
using Mac OS 8 or Mac OS 8.1, don't worry. Appearance System Extension
has been installed when you installed Mac OS 8 or 8.1, or If you are
currently using System 7.1 or later but Mac OS 8, you must install
Appearance System Extension at First. If you don't have it, you can get
that at Apple's Web Site.
If you use System 7 or more earlier version of System, you can't run
this utility because Appearance System Extension does not support its
version of System.

The true nature of everyone's favorite dinosaur is revealed in this
terrifying file. This is a true story. Every day, after he is through
"entertaining" his willing TV slaves, Barfey goes into his dressing room
and returns to his natural form - a form we all know and fear! NOW the
TRUTH comes out about this so-called children's show host: His hellish
legions of hypnotized kiddies are the VANGUARD of an infernal ARMY
dedicated to the DESTRUCTION of ALL! Children, silently DROOLING at the
video screen while Barfey bounces and cavorts across the screen, are being
made into SECRET SLEEPER AGENTS for the Crown Prince of Hell. Only THIS
file shows the purple dinosaur in his true state; only THIS file reveals
what could never be shown before - the name and face of that icon of
deceitful control, the Illuminatus himself! Aiiieeee!
All Naked Rabbit programs require at least 4Mb RAM, 256 colors, and a sense

Subject: [*] Beached II 1.0
Whilst travelling out on the open sea, your boat sinks. You, and two
others are washed onto a tropical island. The island is a paradise, with
trees, bananas, coconuts, and vines. However, you suddenly remember the
long range weather forecast. A tornado will form in this area in about
one week.
You must work hard to build a raft to get off the island, but also make
sure you keep alive by eating, drinking and sleeping. The other survivors
must build their own rafts too. You must decide if and when you help
them, or if you line your own pockets with gold.
This is, of course, the sequel to Beached. The object of the game is still
the same, but there have been major changes made to the gameplay.
There are now other survivors on the island controlled by the computer.
The sequel also has much better graphics, and some important improvements
to the interface.
Requires:
System 7.0 or later
68020 or later
256 colours/greys

Bubbles - is a game of logics. System Requirement - MacOs 7.6.1 or higher.
I didn't test it on MacOS early than MacOS 7.6.1. PPC processor. Color
QuickDraw. Every turn five balls of eight different kinds appear on the
game field at random. Each turn you can move one ball to any free position
with one exception a ball can't jump over another one. Your task is to
assemble five or more similar balls in a line in any direction. When you
put the last ball in the line all balls in that line will disappear and
you get a free turn. The score table in the tool window reflect's your
current bonus. Your score is calculated by a complex rule, according to
the number of turn's you took, number of extra balls and so on.

Subject: [*] ClippingNamer update
Finder clippings are a wonderful idea that most people don't use because
they're such a pain to deal with. Ever tried to find the right clipping
among a bunch of "Text Clipping 1", "Text Clipping 2", etc? It's not too
bad with one clipping, but more than a couple leads to long sessions in
the Finder assigning useful names, wasting the time you saved.
ClippingNamer helps you manage clippings. Without leaving your current
program, you can:
* Automatically assign a new name based on the (text) clipping contents.
* Automatically create a thumbnail image (icon) for picture clippings.
* Popup a dialog that lets you see both ClippingNamer's and the Finder's
suggested names, and use either one or a new name you type.
* NEW - Save text or picture clippings as SimpleText files instead.
* NEW - Append text clippings to existing files/clippings instead of
creating new.
You can set any of these modes (or none) as the default, and invoke any
of the others with modifier keys (completely customizable). There are
several other convenience options as well.
UPDATE: Version 1.1 fixes a bug that caused renamed clippings to move
around on the Desktop under OS8. It also adds the save to file and
append features.

products. Contact the author at

Subject: [*] EG&G/MCS file converter 1.5
This is a sci-tech related utility program to easily convert data files
from an EG&G multi-channel scaler to a mac text format which can be opened
in a spreadsheet.
The MCS format is supposed to be pretty general for spectrum files, but I
don't know what kinds of other programs generate them.
This version (1.5) has a few cosmetic changes, but also has been modified
so that it can open the new MCS format which is generated by the MCS Plus
program. (The old format was called 913 Format, and I don't know the
official name of the new format.)
The program is a fat binary which automatically converts files which are
dropped onto its icon. It has been tested on various PowerMacs and 68k
desktop machines and a powerbook.

Stop wasting time in Open and Save dialogs! Instant Folders is the
ultimate solution to navigate through folders. It lets you reach any

"Save..." dialog boxes. It's as easy as using bookmarks in Internet
browsers.
You'll no longer have to dig through your deeply-hierarchic disks to get

Instant Folders takes full advantage of the Alias Manager, so that the

network volumes and removable disks of all sorts.
Improvements since version 2.1
* Improved stability (you never get too much of it!).
* Made the icon way cooler.
* Updated documentation.

Subject: [*] NetCD 1.2/PPC - An Internet-saavy CD Player Program
NetCD 1.2 for Power Macintosh
by Toby W. Rush
http://members.xoom.com/tobyrush/software.html
This is the PowerPC version of NetCD. A 680x0 version is also available.
NetCD is an audio CD console program that can download information about the
currently playing CD from the Internet. The program accesses a global system
of servers called the CDDB (www.cddb.com) and returns information such as disc
and track titles and extra information which is not encoded on standard CDs.
Version 1.2 adds the ability for the use to submit CD information to the
global database.
NetCD requires a Macintosh or Power Macintosh computer, the Apple CD Driver,
and a CD-ROM drive. To take advantage of the internet capabilities of NetCD,
you must have Open Transport and an internet connection.

Subject: [*] NudgeMouser update
NudgeMouser 2 is a Control Panel that allows you to move the mouse
pointer very precisely, using the cursor keys or the numeric keypad. It
is a mouse "helper" rather
than a replacement like Easy Access. This is useful when:
- Adjusting things like slider controls, individual handles in graphics
programs, etc, that normally can only be dragged with the mouse.
- Adjusting anything precisely and with no annoying "jitter" when the
mouse can't be positioned exactly.
- Providing mouse button lock without buying new hardware.
NudgeMouser 2 is always available: you should never know it's there
unless you're using it, because it's only active while dragging. It DOES
provide the ability to lock down and/or click the mouse from the
keyboard, and to change the amount moved/keypress. NO modifier keys are
required; you can use them as usual (to option-drag, for example).
NudgeMouser 2 v2.0.1 is a bug fix that addresses problems with Apple Data
Detectors and sleep mode on G3 PowerBooks. It is $10 shareware and
should be compatible with almost any
machine or application: two extra files (included) should allow it to
work with at least some versions of System 6. One conflict has been
reported, with a shareware product named "Apollo".
See for the latest version or

Subject: [*] StripLaunch v1.2
StripLaunch is a Control Strip module which once and for all takes care
of all those aliases spread out over your desktop, all those long Apple
menus, and all those launcher applications. It gives you instant access
to your most commonly used applications, documents, folders, scripts and
anything else, all through a handy little menu in your Control Strip.
Items are added or removed in five seconds, with no restarting
necessary.
StripLaunch takes up only 8k on your hard drive, no measurable amount of
RAM and no processor time. Since it is a Control Strip module, it also
takes up practically no desktop space and is always available on top of
everything else. In short, StripLaunch is the only launching utility you
are ever likely to need.
New features since version 1.1:
* StripLaunch now ships together with a number of additional modules
with different icons and names. Any combination of these may be used.
* A problem which sometimes caused menu items to behave strangely if
they included certain special characters has now been fixed.
System requirements:
* System 7 or later.
* Control Strip.
* Any Macintosh, 68k or PPC.
* Any screen, b/w or colour.
