Subject: [*] ][2Mac v1.2.4
A new version of ][2Mac has been released recently and can be downloaded
from my homepage http://www.caiw.nl/~adam
][2Mac is a set of 3 applications, 1 for the Mac and 2 for the Apple-][,
that allow you to backup and restore Apple-][ floppies to/from a Mac.
The floppy-image is stored on the Mac in a format that is recognized by
IIe, the Apple //e emulator for the Mac, written by Victor and Vincent Tan
(see: http://www-personal.usyd.edu.au/~vtan/sw/index.html).
One of the users of ][2Mac even reported, that he has successfully
transferred DOS 3.3-, ProDOS- as well as Pascal-formatted disks from
his Apple //e to his Mac, and that he is using the diskimages now
on his Mac, in the IIgs emulator called 'Bernie ][ the Rescue'
(see: http://www.magnet.ch/emutech/Bernie/).
Also... ][2Mac enables you to use a Macintosh to send out and receive
Apple-][-disks to and from your friends over the internet...
Version 1.2.4:
-Some errormessage that are not appropriate no longer show up
-Fixed a bug, that could cause a time-out failure on slower Macs like
the Macintosh Plus or Classic
-Implemented flow-control because 8 MHz Macintoshes seem to be
unable to keep up with the data that comes in at full speed from the
Apple-][

Merrimack, New Hampshire, September 9, 1998: Ken Winograd and

exciting Macintosh shareware game called Brickles Deluxe.
Brickles Deluxe is an all-new game based on the game of Brickles

New version now includes a full function, advanced calculator with tape.
Throw away your old desktop calculator and replace it with this. The

scratches the surface, the Graphics Calculator also computes sizing
calculations for graphic artists (or anyone), graphic file sizes, file
transfer rates, value conversions (inches to cm, pica, etc.) and appropriate
halftone screening for desktop printers and imagesetters. Computes file
transfers for ethernet networks (10bT and 100bT), modems of any speed, T1

The Graphics Calculator works on all Macs, including the latest Power Macs
and OS 8.

At last I can release a beta version of LWS for Macintosh. Layout WorkShop
is a shareware layout program that is efficient, cheap (10 USD only!) and
fun to work with. The program supports ART, PICT, JPEG, GIF, BMP graphic
files, RTF, TEXT, TTRO text files and can display QuickTime Movies. You
can also (of course) create usual vectorbased graphic and text in the
program. LWS also has tools to create checkboxes, radiobuttons and to lock
and unlock the text in textfields. (These tools give the program very
good abilites to create forms.).
When you have completed the work on your project you can print it, place
it on a disk or turn it into a usual MACINTOSH APPLICATION that will be
readable to any macintosh with a 68020 25 mHz processor or better. The
computer doesn't need to have LWS, it can open the application anyway!).

Subject: [*] PongWars PPC, the Return of the Paddle!
PongWars PPC
------------
PongWars combines the game of "Pong" with the sci-fi classic "Star Wars"
in a graphic-packed adventure just waiting to occupy your hard drive.
It features 640x480 graphics and animation, multiple channels of
paddle-blasting sci-fi sound, an in-game MOD music soundtrack, and great
1 or 2 player action promising many hours of nostalgic tears of joy from
any geek of the 70's. Best of all, PongWars is from the guys you love
at SloppyDisk Software... and its freeware!
System Requirements
-------------------
- MacOS System 7.5 and up (Sorry retro-geeks, this won't run on your
Apple IIs)
- At least a 640x480 resolution monitor.
- 3mb of extra hard disk space
- You'd better have your volume cranked up!
- 8-bit (256 color) depth and up
- a PowerMac (old powermac users might want to turn off music in the
options menu to speed up animation some)
Other stuff
-----------
As with all of SloppyDisk's programs to date, this one is completely free.
We are not responsible for any harm that comes to you or your computer as
a result of this program (although we sincerely doubt that anything bad
will happen). Please don't take PongWars seriously, it is a silly little
program made for fun. You should take this game with a grain of salt if
you know what's good for ya. If you'd like to include PongWars on a
cd-rom or some other form of media, feel free as long as you don't change
the contents of the distribution and you send us an email. We'd be
shamefully pleased to know who is using our software (and likes it?). :)

Subject: [*] Verbs & Nouns 2.1.7 - foreign language learning
Here is the new version of the 'Verbs & Nouns' application - 2.1.7
'Verbs & Nouns' is an application for practising inflection, translation
and pronunciation at the level of single words. Features include the
opportunity to do inflection exercises, and translation exercises in
both directions; to record and play sound for single words; and to do
exercises based on sound or pictures.
The program keeps a record of exercises, and identifies the words that
the student has difficulty with. Along with the program, you need a
module for the target language concerned. The program can also be used
as an authoring tool to write your own modules of inflected words for
any language. A built-in 'inflection-generator' simplifies the addition
of these words. A 'Find' feature allows the modules to be used as
bilingual dictionaries.
Ready-made modules are already available for certain languages. You can

MediaWrapper Light supports Zip, Jaz, CD-ROM, EZ Flyer, SyJet, SyQuest,
MagnetoOptical Disks, and SuperDisk.
Changes for MediaWrapper Light 2.0.3
* Added support for SuperDisk Drive
* Added 25 character text limit for MO and Superdisk to prevent text overlap=
.
* Fixed print problem which sometimes clipped the end off the printed page.
MediaWrapper Light Features
MediaWrapper Light offers the following features:
* Scan inside subfolders
* Prints Date Scanned and Space Available on disk
* Editable fields
* Picture can be changed for all wrappers.
* MediaWrapper Light stores all settings including a default picture which
can be set using the Preferences in the Edit menu.
* MediaWrapper Light is also much faster then previous versions.
MediaWrapper Light was created using REALBasic, and no longer relies on
Applescript. In addition to a significant speed boost, MediaWrapper Light
does not experience any of the incompatibilities with HP 600 and 800 series
printers which were found in the previous wrapper programs. MediaWrapper
Light also eliminates the -1757 "Unknown Dialect Error" and the "Please
