Some software companies halfheartedly acknowledge this by adding a few sounds to their products but hiding them deep within the program, thus leaving you with little ability to use the sounds YOU want to hear. Now you can do something about it. Agent Audio enables you to easily: - View and play sounds embedded within programs and files - Replace a program's sounds with your own Macintosh sound files - Save a program's sound resources to individual Macintosh sound files - Create archives of sound settings for back-up or reverting to them later Agent Audio lets you safely replace the "snd" resources of any application or file that already has them. Select the program you wish to customize to view the available sounds. Then select the sounds you wish to use, click the "move" button, and Agent' does all of the work for you! Replace the music of your games with your favorite song, customize your "new mail" sound in your email client, or change the sounds in your America Online client! You can literally customize any software with sound resources to your liking. Or, if you like a particular sound in a program, use Agent Audio to extract the sound and save it to a double-clickable sound file! System Requirements: - MacOS 7.1 or above - Color Monitor - 2MB of RAM - 1MB of Hard Drive Space Agent Audio is $12 shareware. Complete documentation and registration information is included. I love the program, but it always seems to be in the way when ever I needed to use the bottom bit of the screen for something (and since I use a PowerBook, I need all the screen real estate I can get!) Anyway, in this package is a mini-application (which you can put in your Apple Menu Items folder) which will toggle the Strip on and off, and a few FKEYs which will do the same thing with a keypress or two. Control Strip Toggle works just fine with Men and Mice's "Desktop Strip" as well. CopyPaste can be downloaded free at: http://www.scriptsoftware.com Essential to magnifying the power of your Mac! CopyPaste has these features: * Clip Extender - gives 10 easy to access clipboards via menu or key command. * Clip Recorder - remembers the last 10 items copied via command c. * Clip Archive - copied data is appended to one of 10 text files on disk. * Save Clipboards thru Restarts - allows all 10 Clipboards to be saved thru Shutdown or Restart. * Clip Sets - Sets of 10 clipboards can be loaded and saved to disk. Various Clip Sets can be created for different tasks. Clip Sets can also be sent to other CopyPaste users for them to load and use. * CopyPaste Palette - a floating windoid that allows you to view/use 10 clipboards in Clip Extender and in Clip Recorder. * CopyPaste Utilities - there are text utilities, picture utilities and date and time utilities that work on the clipboard. When you drag a window's title bar and Solid Dragging is active, the whole window image is moved instead of a dull-looking window outline. If the Update Windows option is also active, all windows are updated on the fly without waiting for you to release the mouse. Not as fast as the BeOS, but definitely better than the standard MacOS behavior! * DragAnyWindow also allows you to easily move any kind of window, including dialogs, alerts, standard "Open" and "Save" dialogs, game windows and other non-movable windows. It lets you bring back to the desktop any window that has gone out of sight, or center the front window on the main screen with a single keystroke. These options are very useful for old applications designed for the 9" screen (which often use fixed windows) and for moving modal dialogs and windows behind them. Aladdin Enterprises' GhostScript is a fast and powerful PostScript interpreter, that can face easily most of the professional RIPs on the market. I've completely rewritten any other Mac porting, adding new features: * Full Macintosh interface: you don't need to look at the interactive PostScript interpreter to get all important features (scaling, rotating, mirroring, setting up batch jobs...). * More printer-oriented: the software directly drives printer connected via serial port at a speed up to 230 KBaud. Furthermore, a fast serial-to-parallel converter is available to directly connect PC printers: the user can buy an off-the-shelf Epson or HP and drive it immediately in Level 2 PostScript, with great results! * An easy interface to handle color curves: no more difference between screen and printing, you can correct the RGB or CMYK behaviour of your printer to exactly match the required results. * A font converter to allow the interpreter to recognize all the fonts you've always used: TT fonts included in EPS files are automatically converted. The software requires an FPU or PPC Macintosh, system 7.5 and enough disk space for the jobs you want to print, as it spools to the disk limiting memory requirements: Letter & A4 jobs can be achieved with 4 MB memory allocation, while A0 jobs don't need more than 10MB RAM! GhostScript is distributed under GNU license: this means, it can be shared freely with no support. Mpeg Layer-3 or Mp3 is a sound compression algorithm which offers CD quality sound files while taking up very little space on your hard drive. You will need an Mp3 player in order to listen to the files which Mpecker Encoder creates. Currently availbable shareware Mp3 players for the Macintosh are: Vamp, MacAmp, Audioactive, Mpecker (not the encoder), and MacPlay. SMACK A SKUNK! If it stinks, smack it! This is a game for getting rid of all that frustration that certain companies, persons and organizations cause you. A bunch of suggested skunks are provided, but you can also make your own. Disclaimer: We do not encourage mistreatment of innocent animals! This game is similar to the "Wack-a-mole" games you find in some amusement parks, where moles peek out of holes and you should hit them before they go back in again. That's exactly what you do here, with the difference that it isn't moles, but symbols for whatever you feel like hitting for the moment. You must have a 640x480 pixel screen and 256 colors. (Sorry if you don't - there are some good reasons, believe me!) A 68LC040 processor or better is strongly recommended. Fat binary. Tested on Performa 630, PowerMac 6100 and PowerMac 7600. Version 1.1 fixes a display problem for "skunk images" that are not the proper size, so you can now paste larger images without unpleasant results. Freeware. The sound must be in a Finder sound file called "Startup Loop" inside the Extensions folder (or in the System folder if you're running System 6). You can also store more than one sound file in a folder named "Startup Loops" inside the Extensions folder, and Startup Player will pick a random one at each startup.
