How do I turn this off? In Eudora 4.3.1, at any rate, it's Special->Settings->Really Miscellaneous, and uncheck the box "so-called smart paste". You _may_ have to add the "Esoteric Settings" plug-in to get this option; I can't remember. I shopped around for memory for a 9500, and found the best deal from DMS (Data Memory Systems). I was able to buy a 64 MB, 5 volt DIMM for $69.00 + $7.00 Shipping. I have been using it for the last three weeks and it works perfectly. What I have noticed is that memory for this machine runs at least 3 times the price of memory for current machines! Maybe this is supply and demand, but it still seems out of proportion. Technical specs say it needs DRAM DIMMs, 5volt, 168 pin, 64-bit wide, 70ns or faster. EDO appears to be okay, although I think this generation of Macs doesn't take advantage of it. Can I get away with any of the following: PC-100? SYNC? ECC? I'm pretty sure not; it has to be EDO or FPM (which tends to be even more expensive :-() Is there any reasonably-priced way to do this? Or just turn on VM and live with it? Thx, I had the same problem with my 9500 - in the end I picked up used DIMMS from newsgroup adverts. One advantage of the 9500 is having 12 RAM slots, which means you can probably afford to use the 16 and 32mb DIMMS that most people don't want to fill up their slots with, and hence tend to be cheaper. Anybody got any comments on it? I have a copy. It works well, but is not (repeat NOT) file compatible with the current Wintel version. MS has also indicated that it is a dead product. I also have an old copy of MicroPlanner Expert. This is great software, if you're working in a vacuum.
